Ammonite cut and polished fossil from Madagascar. This stunning Ammonite is 11.3cm diameter at its widest point, the internal chambers have been replaced naturally with amazing coloured calcites. The species is Cleoniceras and it is 120 million years old from the Cretaceous period. The Ammonite fossil was found in the Jungles of Mahajanga on the North east coast of Madagascar a large Island off the East coast of Africa. The rough Ammonite was cut and polished to make a pair, revealing the beautiful internal calcite chambers. This impressive fossilised ammonite pair from Madagascar come with display stands.
