Crystals For The New Year
From all of us at Madagascan Direct, we would like to wish you a very happy New Year!
Last year was very busy for us, with lots of changes, and we have been delighted to welcome customers both new and old.
Whilst continuing to source high-quality fossils and crystals from Madagascar, we have been branching out to discover riches and treasures from all over the globe, especially in India, where we have our own workshop dedicated to finding unique stones such as our bespoke Amethyst Agate range.
We would like to thank all of our loyal customers for supporting us throughout this difficult year: we definitely hope to see many of you again in the new year!
In the spirit of new beginnings, let's take a look at some of our favourite new stones.
Moss Agate
Moss Agate continues to be one of our staple stones here at Madagascan Direct, and we are still working hard in our workshop in India to source the best rough material to cut and polish into high-quality pieces like these.
In our recent shipment, we received new bespoke Moss Agate Towers: we were interested in branching out to the obelisk shape in some of our stones, and Moss Agate seemed like the perfect candidate to experiment with.
We are very happy with the results from our experimentation, and it seems you are too: Moss Agate Obelisks are already selling really well!
Deeply symbolic of growth and prosperity like the plants they draw their name from, Moss Agate stones are well suited for spiritual use and meditation during the New Year period.

Fancy Jasper
Fancy Jasper is one of the most versatile stones we have available.
Otherwise known as Multicoloured Jasper, this stone can display all the colours of the rainbow within its exquisite patterns of bands and speckles.
Known as a Stone of Tranquility, Fancy Jasper can help its user gain a sense of peace and balance.

Lepidolite
We are in love with our new collection of high-quality Lepidolite from Africa, and it has already proven to be a bestseller for us.
This selection of hand-polished Lepidolite displays exquisite purple colours, ranging from vibrant plums to stunning rich lilacs and violets.
Some of our Lepidolite also displays striking Black Tourmaline inclusions, and even beautiful baby pink colours!
If you look closely at a specimen of Lepidolite, you will be able to observe stunning sparkling flecks adorning its smooth surface, twinkling like stars.
Renowned for its mood stabilising properties, this stone may help you if you are struggling with the intense emotions that often come with the ending of one year and the beginning of another.

Black Tourmaline
Although it was difficult to cut and shape, we think that the results of our work with rough Black Tourmaline in India more than make up for all the difficulty faced in crafting it!
Displaying a gorgeous reflective shimmer that makes the stone almost mirror-like, our polished Black Tourmaline is of a very high grade.
Our collection of polished Black Tourmaline consists of high-grade Black Tourmaline Pebbles and Black Tourmaline Spheres.
As Black Tourmaline is famous for being a Stone of Protection, it may be helpful to try holding a Black Tourmaline Palm Stone to help settle and ground yourself during the turbulent transition to the new year.
Rainbow Moonstone
We have been sourcing high-grade Rainbow Moonstone from India for some years now, but this latest batch is perhaps our best collection yet.
Each piece displays a gorgeous shimmer and flash of rainbow colours, including bright royal blues.
Many of our Rainbow Moonstone pieces also showcase striking Black Tourmaline inclusions, which contrast marvellously against the creamy white glow of the moonstone.
