Zhanguo Warring States Agate For Sale (Fighting Blood Agate)
This gorgeous Druzy Warring States Agate Geode Crystal Pair has been carefully cut from a Natural Warring States Agate Nodule Rock into two halves (one measuring 3.2cm long, and the other measuring 3.1cm long), to make a delightful Warring States Agate Nodule Pair.
Warring States Agate is also known as Fighting Blood Agate and Zhanguo Agate.
Both Warring States Agate halves have been carefully hand-polished on their front faces to enhance the smooth, glossy lustre of the stone's surface; whilst retaining the large druzy natural crystal geode cavities at their centres, and the raw natural agate nodule rock at their backs.
Each Zhanguo Warring States Agate Geode Crystal displays colourful agate patterns in an array of vibrant hues, including bright pumpkin-orange and deep chocolate-brown colours, as well as a large druzy vug full of sparkling clear druzy crystals.
The spectacular, glittering Druzy Crystals (Drusy Crystals/ Crystal Druse) that line these Druzy Warring States Agate Crystal Geodes twinkle beautifully in the light and contrast strikingly against the sleek, smooth polish of the rest of the crystal surface.
What Is Warring States Agate?
Warring States Agate is a unique type of Agate, which is a member of the Chalcedony group of stones, which in turn is a member of the larger Quartz family of minerals.
Where Does Warring States Agate Come From?
Warring States Agate comes from China, hence why this agate variety is also known as Chinese Warring States Agate and Chinese Fighting Blood Agate.
What Is Agate Made Of?
All types of Quartz, including microcrystalline Chalcedony, of which Agates are a form of, are composed from silica (otherwise known as silicon dioxide), and are therefore classed as Silicate Minerals.
Agate is a translucent/ semi-translucent form of Banded Chalcedony which displays an array of colourful patterns, such as the swirls and stripes of Banded Agate, the circles and concentric patterns of Eye Agate, and the striking dendritic patterns seen in Moss Agate (Tree Agate).
Other types of Chalcedony Gemstones include Jasper, the opaque variety of Chalcedony, and Carnelian, a unique red-orange form of Chalcedony.
Other Types Of Agate
Agate is a versatile stone which comes in many shapes, colours, and forms.
Popular types of Agate include Moss Agate (otherwise known as Tree Agate), Cherry Blossom Agate (also known as Flower Agate), Banded Agate, and Orca Agate (also known as Ocean Agate).
Purple Moss Agate is a unique form of Moss Agate with Purple Chalcedony.
Quartz Agate is another unique variety of Moss Agate which was found in a Moss Agate Crystal Bed alongside Tree Agate Crystals, but shows striking differences in composition and appearance to typical Moss Agate, mainly due to its high proportion of Blue Chalcedony Agate and Clear Quartz Crystals, whilst retaining some dendritic Moss Agate patterns.
