Ammonite Pair 20.1cm
A stunning pair of cut Ammonite fossils from Madagascar replaced by coloured calcites. The species is Cleoniceras and they are 120 million years old from the Cretaceous period. The Ammonite fossil is 20.1cm at widest diameter and was found in the Jungles of Mahajanga on the North east coast of Madagascar a large Island off the East coast of Africa. The rough Ammonite was cut and polished to make a pair, revealing the beautiful internal grey and brown open calcite chambers.
