Fossil Wood Book Ends 26cm

Fossil Wood Book Ends very Large from Madagascar. These incredible pair of very large Fossil Wood Book Ends are 26cm tall and weigh 15.46kg they display beautiful rich coloured jaspers and very nice bark around the edge. Fossil Wood or Petrified Wood is wood that has been replaced over millions of years by Quartz and Chalcedony minerals. The fossilised wood is Araucaria or Monkey Puzzle tree and it is Triassic 248 million years old. These book ends are very large and would make an extremely attractive display piece either side of a large book collection.
