Carnelian Geode, Crystal from Madagascar. This unusual 9.3cm long Carnelian Geode displays a mix of fabulous rich colours and has an unique open crystal cavity. Carnelian is a form of Chalcedony generally coming in red, orange or amber colours, but it can be banded as well which is then Carnelian Agate. Carnelian has been used through out the ages and the Romans prized it to make seals and rings. Ideal for a collector or as an impressive display piece in any home.
