Fossilised Wood Tea Light, fossil for sale from Madagascar, This wonderful 14.5cm wide Fossil Wood Tea Light is a Fossil Wood Branch that has one end polished showing the beautiful coloured jaspers which have replaced the original wood very slowly in the process of silicification, the centre has then been bored to accomodate a glass tea light holder with a tea light inside. The fossil wood is from the Araucaria or more commonly known as the Monkey puzzle tree. It is 248 million years old from the Triassic period. The Monkey puzzle tree population is in decline today so here is a chance to own a living fossil from Madagascar. This is a wonderful ornament that would make an ideal gift.
