Fossilised Wood Tea Light holder from Madagascar, This beautiful 17cm wide Fossil Wood Tea Light holder is a Fossil Wood Branch that has one end polished showing the beautiful coloured jaspers which have replaced the original wood very slowly in the process of silicification, the centre has then been bored to accomodate a glass tea light holder with a tea light inside. The fossil wood is from the Araucaria or more commonly known as the Monkey puzzle tree. It is 248 million years old from the Triassic period. The Monkey puzzle tree population is in decline today so here is a chance to own a living fossil from Madagascar. This is a wonderful ornament that would make an ideal gift.
