Ammonite Pair cut and polished, fossil from Madagascar. This 6.7cm diameter Ammonite Pair is of the species Phylloceras and they are 120 million years old from the Cretaceous period. The Ammonite fossil was found in the Jungles of Mahajanga on the North east coast of Madagascar a large Island off the East coast of Africa. The rough Ammonite was cut and polished to make a pair, revealing the rich internal golden brown calcite chambers. This fabulous fossilised ammonite pair from Madagascar come with display stands.
