Ammonite Pair, cut and polished, fossil from Madagascar replaced by coloured calcites. The species is Cleoniceras and they are 120 million years old from the Cretaceous period. The Ammonite fossil is 17.6cm at its widest diameter and was found in the Jungles of Mahajanga on the North east coast of Madagascar a large Island off the East coast of Africa. The rough Ammonite was cut and polished to make a pair, revealing the beautiful internal honey orange calcite chambers. This stunning fossilised ammonite pair from Madagascar come with display stands.
